Shop Storage
Shop storage — ha! More like "everythingwecancramintotheshopstorage." There are lots of things that get stored in your shop or garage. Everything, including baseballs and bats, lawn mowers and bicycles, and tools large or small, ends up in the shop. Some items are seasonal and some are a year-round. You may want to start your storage renovation on the ceiling. That’s right. Look up and you’ll find a great space to store long items such as fishing poles and two by fours.
Think about hanging things on the walls. Bicycles, helmets, cables and water hoses are some of the things that hang well on pegs and hooks while remaining easily accessible. You might place some sturdy chrome wire shelving against one section of wall to store the heavier and boxed items.
Pegboard is a great solution for storing tools. A place for everything is especially applicable here. You may want to have kids create name tags for themselves, attach them to key rings, and place their name tags on the peg of the tool they borrow. At least you’ll know who to hunt for when you can’t find the pliers. Not just shop storage. Organized shop storage.
